History

General Communications, Inc. was founded in 1957 in Murray, Utah. The small company began installing sound systems in many houses of worship for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

As technology in sound, video and networking began to rapidly change, General Communications has stayed in the forefront, and changed with the technology, to meet the needs of our customers.

With more than four decades of experience, General Communications has completed thousands of installations of leading-edge sound, video, network, and videoconferencing systems. As our company has grown, so have our capabilities and expertise. We now have an extensive list of clients and have the capabilities and staff to design, install and maintain many of the communications systems suited to the needs of your company.

Our broad contracting and distribution programs have developed both nationally and internationally. Each year our technicians are involved in hundreds of systems installations throughout the United States, and are currently emerging into the international market.

We are also a stocking distributor/reseller for many manufacturers, and distribute their products both nationally and internationally. Due to this high volume and wide-spread coverage, we are able to offer superb service and pricing.
