Cathedral of the RockiesThis project is a First United Methodist Cathedral in Boise, Idaho. This is a project where General Communications coordinated the installation of the Audio and Video system with the General Contractor. A new sound system was installed into their existing sanctuary, and we also installed a new sound system in their new sanctuary. We interfaced with the Owner’s representative and the Engineer to ensure a successful installation. |

Salt Lake County Emergency Operations CenterThis facility is a central command and processing area for Fire and Public Safety. This facility was built in preparation for the increased security demands of the growing metropolitan Salt Lake Area. It was completed shortly before the Olympics and used extensively by Federal Agencies during that time. The building features a 2 by 2 video wall. The facility receives video feeds from the UDOT Traffic Operations Center and other State Agencies. There is an observation room for high ranking officials and politicians with a separate audio system. |
Salt Lake County Sheriff's OfficeThis facility houses the main training area for the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Department. This building has two training rooms that are opposite of each other. To save space, they required that the audio/video equipment be put between the two rooms. Both rooms have rear projection which created a unique challenge with the light from both projectors. To solve this, we created a hood system with fireproof fabric to actually enclose the light on eachprojector. When you are in the room, it is completely dark, allowing the light from each projector not to interfere with one another and it provides a bright, clear image. |
